MID-CENTURY UPDATE

This mid-century era home was outdated, and felt very disconnected with its separate formal living room, dining room and kitchen. In this project we created a more open floor plan and greater functionality with the removal of several walls. The updated kitchen is completely open to the family room, and now features both bar seating and eat-in casual dining. We kept the family heritage by re-using the client's antique furniture that had belonged to her grandmother. The more modern kitchen was connected with the traditional dining room by using analagous color palettes.
